Week 2

During this week of labs we focused on completing the design of the robot's 'body', as well as setting up the raspberry pi for us to use to control the robot. The design was completed to a point that it can be finalised over the weekend, and sent to the laser cutter in preparation for the next lab. We also built the gearbox for the motors, that we will complete when the finished design has been assembled. 




We had some difficulty with the installation on the raspberry pi and eventually had to restart from scratch, which was not ideal. This does mean that we will have more on our checklist for next week but at the very least we are making good progress on the mechanical side of the project. As for the coding side, we will continue to programme at home, and hopefully we will be able to test it properly in the next lab.
